What Was Meghan Markle Accused Of?
Days before the Oprah interview of Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry premiered, allegations against Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, were made public. The duchess was accused of mistreatment of palace staff when she was a full-time resident and royal of Kensington Palace. Statements claimed that Meghan drove two personal assistants from their jobs, undermined another employee’s confidence, and reduced staff members to tears.
Is Meghan Guilty of Abuse?
Her friends and former coworkers vehemently deny any possibility of abuse by Meghan. Joe Cowan, the former writer and producer of Suits, the show that Meghan used to appear on, came to her defense. He described Meghan as a “warm, kind, caring person.” He insisted that she deserves the benefit of the doubt, given his personal experience with her.
Another friend within the business, Janine Gavanker, also called Meghan a “kind, strong, open” person. The two have known each other for 17 years. Janine said that there is no way that Meghan could be labeled as a bully.
Who Is Accusing Meghan?
On the surface, the accusations come from Jason Knauf, Harry and Markle’s former communications secretary. However, one can only wonder about the timing and influence of such allegations. Even though it was reported that these claims were made back in October of 2018 by Knauf, the timing seems very coincidental. The accusations arise and cause a media frenzy just before the Oprah interview goes live. Why would a person wait until the Prince and Duchess are about to receive public attention?
Maybe there are unseen forces at play, here? Maybe there are “people of power” who would love to see Meghan’s reputation tarnished and dragged through the dirt. It’s well-known that there are rumors that the royal family members were not keen on Prince Harry marrying an ex-actress, to put it simply and much less racist than what was really being said. After all, there was a reason that Prince Harry and the Duchess chose to leave the royal life. Just check out the recap of the Oprah interview details in the New York Times.
So, do you really believe that the palace staff are the ones coming forward with this “information,” if it were even true? Or would you guess that someone is coercing false statements via influence and money? It’s not unheard of.
